Excellent article, Penny. Thank you. He was a great man. I worked for him as his personal secretary for 5 years after he left the ring. He continued to spar in the ring in world exhibitions until near death. What I loved about him most was his gentle voice and way with everyone. He particularly loved children and young people. His strong desire and work in the inner city of Los Angeles to motivate youth to get an education and be responsible was his greatest gift to others.
